Advanced railway traffic control system in Turkey
Iskra is not only present in Europe but also on other continents of this planet.
We are successfully upgrading our work on Turkish railways, where we have been installing our signaling and interlocking devices together with the traffic control centers for the last 30 years. The project is an upgrade of the Tecer - Kangal project, as it proved to be an economically viable project with reliable operations and low maintenance costs.
As we have completed the works on the new railway station Brajdica in the port of Rijeka, we are also building new railway stations in central Turkey close to Sivas.
In late 2018 Iskra has been given a task to add signaling and interlocking devices for two additional railway stations on the Kangal-Tecer line and to modify CTC TRIS in Sivas.
Now after 2-year works are almost finished and only the testing phase needs to be performed. With this new installation, Iskra Spdrl30 interlocking system is not only adding additional safety, but it is also cutting down CO2 emissions and lowering the carbon footprint of TCDD.
These two new installations are making TCDD journeys shorter for 20km and if we calculate how much less fuel diesel-electric locomotives are burning we can say Iskra interlocking solutions are sustainable and eco-friendly. All this proves we are a truly global company.
