We are Iskra, a family-owned enterprise with a rich history spanning almost 80 years. Our journey began in Europe, where we laid down our roots, and from where we’ve grown into a globally recognized name in the field of cutting-edge technology. At the heart of Iskra is the Šešok family, the driving force behind our vision and core values. Led by Dušan Šešok and his sons, Klemen and Matija, we pride ourselves on a leadership that combines decades of experience with youthful innovation.

► Environmental responsibility: reduction of CO2 emissions by installation of Solar Power Plants at our business units, Tesla Battery Storage Systems, plant for cogeneration of heat and electricity, AquaSpark water filtration system, PlanetCare microfiber filter, E-mobility - fully hybrid vehicle fleet by 2030, etc.
► Social responsibility: safe working environment, work-life balance, commitment to fair pay, women in the workforce, lifelong learning, inclusion of persons with disabilities, etc.
► Governance responsibility: community engagement, collaboration with educational institutions, donations to schools, anti-fraud/anti-bribery initiative, cybersecurity, etc.
The Iskra Timeline
Founded in 1946, our company has built a legacy defined by significant milestones that underscore our commitment to excellence and innovation. With roots firmly anchored in the past, we take pride in a rich history that has shaped our identity. While acknowledging a myriad of achievements, we spotlight select milestones that exemplify our dedication to quality and a continuous pursuit of excellence.
► In 1947 our first switchgear was developed. Even today, switchgears represent huge portion of our portfolio.
► In 1959 our first contactor was developed. Our portfolio nowadays includes huge range of different contactors, starting from Mini contactors, Contactors for switching electric motors, Auxilary contactors, etc.
► In 1979 designer Davorin Savnih designed the ETA 80 telephone. Its extremely pure design represented an innovative solution at that time, and became the most copied product of Slovenian design in the world.
► In 2011 our first LTE antenna was developed.
► In 2015 our R&D team developed Bistable switch BICOM, connectable to other smart devices (smart meters, smart gateways, ...) creating a Smart solution for better energy efficiency.
► In 2016 we introduced first measuring center iMC784.
► In 2019 Iskra took over Šibenik shipyard. ISKRA SHIPYARD is the leading ship repair yard on the eastern coast of Adriatic Sea, specialized in repairs of all types of vessels up to 80m, and in new build vessels up to 60m.
► In 2021 Iskra acquired Elka, the largest electronic cable manufacturer in SEE.
